Switzerland reached the FIFA World Cup quarterfinals after 72 years, defeating Colombia 4-3 in a penalty shootout. This was the great moment for Switzerland. Each side made aggressive moves and created remarkable goal attempts but no goal was scored till extra time.

In the penalty shootout, Colombia’s Davinson SANCHEZ missed the second penalty, while Switzerland’s Manuel AKANJI missed the third. Swiss goalkeeper Gregor KOBEL then stopped Colombia’s fourth penalty, setting up the victory.
