FIFA World Cup 2026: Mexico Defeats Ecuador 2-0 to Reach Round of 16

Mexico beat Ecuador 2–0 in the FIFA World Cup 2026 Round of 32 at Mexico City Stadium. Every game of this round is interesting and sensational as teams are pouring all of their energy into winning for their survival in the tournament.

The Mexican team played a more attacking game as than their opponents. While Ecuador played well, controlled the ball, and tried to score goals but Mexican defenders blocked them effectively. Mexican team scored their first goal in the 22nd minute of the game. Julián Quiñones received a long pass in the center and scored a goal after driving into the penalty area. Ecuador tried their best to level the game but just nine minutes later, Raúl Jiménez doubled the lead for Mexico, which the team maintained to secure the 2–0 win.
