Dallas World Cup Opener: England Overcomes Croatia 4-2

England defeated Croatia in a thrilling contest at the FIFA World Cup 2026 at Dallas Stadium in Texas. In the first half, Croatia leveled the game twice, but in the second half, the English defense didn’t allow them.

England took an early lead in the 12th minute through a penalty taken by Harry Kane. It was dramatic, as the first attempt was saved by the goalkeeper, but it was a foul, and Kane scored on his second attempt. However, Martin Baturina leveled the score in the 36th minute for Croatia. England regained the lead three minutes before halftime, but that was also equalized by Petar Musa in stoppage time.

The teams went into the break with a 2-2 score.  

England restored its advantage just two minutes after the restart, as Jude Bellingham shot the ball into the goal. England continued moves and attacks to confirm their victory, but the Croatian defenders kept Croatia in contention effectively. Second half was full of thrills and tension for both teams and their fans.

At last, in the 85th minute of the match, Marcus Rashford scored the fourth goal for England.
