Springs Brooks Stadium: A Charm for Baseball

The beautiful Springs Brooks Stadium, originally known as Watson Stadium, is a famous baseball park of Conway, South Carolina. This playing field, located on the campus of Coastal Carolina University, was expanded and equipped with state of the art facilities in 2013-2015 through a generous donation from the Springs and Brooks families. Now, after extensive renovation and upgrade it provides wonderful experience, creating fan-friendly environment. This stadium has a great history of competition and achievements; the baseball program was commenced in 1975 in the Coastal Carolina.

Springs Brooks Stadium is the home ground of the nationally recognized team, Coastal Carolina Chanticleers baseball team. This is a member of the Sun Belt Conference, and competes in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I, representing Coastal Carolina University, Conway. This team produced several professional players of the baseball, and competitive teams which made its national prominence.

Facilities and Fan Experience

Springs Brooks Stadium is designed to meet the fan experience of the new millennium. Its high quality artificial turf ensures best playing conditions, while its modern facilities, luxury suites, a spacious press box, and advanced audio-visual systems enhance game spirit. The stadium accommodates approximately 3,000 spectators. Its seating arrangement offers excellent sightlines while the outfield area provides a picnic like setting to enjoy the game in a relaxed environment.

Springs Brooks Stadium has gained fame hosting a number of events, and with the exceptional performance of Chanticleers in numerous conference championships and NCAA tournaments. Under the leadership of head coach Gary Gilmore, team achieved milestones. This field gained national attention and recognition in 2016 when Coastal Carolina won the College World Series defeating the Arizona Wildcats in a thrilling game.
