FIFA World Cup 2026: France Faces Morocco Today in First Quarterfinal Clash

The first quarterfinal of the 2026 FIFA World Cup will be played today, Thursday, July 9, between France and Morocco. The match will take place at Boston Stadium in Boston, Massachusetts, at 4:00 PM.

Kylian Mbappé’s France is performing the best in the tournament, and they have an impressive record against Morocco as well. But this time, Morocco stands in a better position, world number 6, and their performance is solid throughout the tournament. They played draw against Brazil in the group match and ousted Canada 3-0 in the Round of 16 to qualify the quarterfinal.

In the last FIFA World Cup 2022, held in Qatar, Morocco lost the semifinal against France in a tough contest. Now Morocco is more experienced and disciplined; they have established their defense and attack more firmly over the last four years.

It will be a sensational game of the tournament.
