Argentina edged Egypt 3-2 with a late comeback at Atlanta Stadium. It was a truly sensational victory for Argentina. Both teams played an absolutely impressive game. Each side made aggressive moves and created remarkable goal attempts. In this game, Egypt took an early lead in the 15th minute of the game through Yasser IBRAHIM. Just six minutes later, Argentina was awarded a penalty, but Egypt’s goalkeeper, Mostafa SHOBEIR, saved Messi’s shot. Then, Argentina poured all their energy into equalizing, but the Egyptian goalkeeper saved all subsequent attacks successfully.

The teams went into the break at 1-0.

The second half began with renewed energy. Argentina fought for a comeback while Egypt continued their attacks to extend their lead. Egypt doubled their lead in the 67th minute through Mostafa ZICO’s brilliant goal. Argentina came back into the match with a goal from Cristian Romero in the 79th minute. They increased the pressure to equalize, and Lionel MESSI scored the crucial 83rd-minute equalizer to make it 2-2. It was a great moment for the defending champions, while being equally shocking for Egypt. Argentina mounted heavy pressure to win the game, and Enzo FERNANDEZ scored the winning goal in stoppage time, sending Egypt out of the World Cup.
