FIFA World Cup 2026: 28 of 32 Knockout Spots Now Locked In

Seven teams from Groups G, H, and I—France, Norway, Senegal, Spain, Egypt, Cabo Verde, and Belgium—have qualified for the Round of 32 after completing their group stage matches.

In Group G, Belgium beat New Zealand 5-1, ousting them from the next round, while Iran and Egypt played to a draw, leaving Iran on the brink.

In Group H, Spain defeated Uruguay 1-0 in a sensational match, ousting them from the tournament, while Cabo Verde played a 0-0 draw with Saudi Arabia to secure second place. This result eliminated the Saudi squad from competition.

In Group I, France defeated Norway 4-1 to secure first place, while Norway advanced in second. Meanwhile, Senegal beat Iraq 5-0 and qualify for the next round.

Group D – USA and Australia qualified – Paraguay on the brink – Türkiye eliminated

Group E – Germany, Cote d’Ivoire, and Ecuador qualified – Curacao eliminated

Group F – Netherlands, Japan, and Sweden qualified – Tunisia eliminated
